Noida, 3rd October 2025: The prestigious International Moot Court Competition 2025 was formally inaugurated at the Asian Law College, part of Asian Education Group, Marwah Studios Complex II, Noida, by none other than Hon’ble Mr. Justice U. U. Lalit, 49th Chief Justice of India. The event marks a significant milestone in nurturing the spirit of advocacy, legal research, and practical exposure among aspiring law professionals from across the globe.
In his inspiring inaugural address, Justice U. U. Lalit spoke extensively about the essence of moot courts in legal education. He explained that moot courts are not just academic exercises but platforms to cultivate critical thinking, legal reasoning, and courtroom etiquette. “A moot court bridges the gap between theoretical study and actual practice. It develops confidence, discipline, and professional ethics which are vital for every lawyer,” he said, motivating students to embrace these opportunities wholeheartedly.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Asian Education Group, welcomed the dignitaries and participants, highlighting the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and experiential learning. He emphasized that the Moot Court Competition is a reflection of AEG’s vision to provide students with a global platform where they can sharpen their advocacy skills and interact with eminent legal minds. “At Asian Law College, we believe in preparing students not only as knowledgeable lawyers but also as responsible professionals who will uphold justice and fairness in society,” he added.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from law schools across India and abroad, creating a diverse environment of intellectual exchange. Teams will be competing in simulated court proceedings, presenting arguments on complex legal issues before distinguished panels comprising judges, academicians, and senior advocates.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by legal luminaries, academicians, international delegates, faculty members, and students, making it a memorable beginning to the competition.
The International Moot Court Competition 2025 promises to be a platform where young legal minds will not only showcase their advocacy skills but also imbibe the values of integrity, fairness, and global outlook, shaping the future of the legal profession.
